What is an Infrared Sauna?
Infrared therapy uses infrared heaters to emit infrared light experienced as radiant heat, which is absorbed by the surface of he skin. It is different from a hot rock sauna as it penetrates about 3 - 4cm into the body so it gets better results at lower temperatures. Infrared sauna session are a great optional addition to assist with detoxifying your body.
What does an infrared sauna help with?
Infrared saunas help with detoxifying the body of toxins trapped under the skin including heavy metals. Most people have kidneys that do not filter acids and toxins from the body well, so the skin can assist by releasing these toxins through sweating, to assist the kidneys.
Infrared saunas can also help improve circulation, relieve internal congestion, relax tight muscles, cleanse the skin, improve alkalinity of the body, decrease swelling (inflammation), boost metabolism, assist with weight loss.
