(Colonics / Colonic Irrigation)
Colon hydrotherapy is an effective tool to cleanse the large intestine of the body and assist with healing.
Colon Hydrotherapy involves very safe, gentle and effective cleansing of the colon using warm water gently infused via the rectum. No chemicals or drugs are involved and the entire therapy is both relaxing and effective.
Your colon is the end portion of your digestive tract and is approx. 5 feet long, and 2.5 inches in diameter. A healthy well-functioning bowel is essential for the maintenance of optimal health. This vital organ remains the most neglected in the human body. When the blood stream is overloaded with toxic waste, the body will function at a lower level.
Nourish Mind and Body uses the closed system of Colon Hydrotherapy, where filtered water passes through a UV light and is introduced at low pressure into the colon through a single use disposable speculum. We use warm and cold water and abdominal massage to assist. A therapist is with you and in control of the procedure at all times.
Colonics are very effective at eliminating large quantities of waste from your colon. Failure to evacuate this waste properly is often uncomfortable and some of it can be absorbed back into the body and the toxins circulate in the blood stream making you feel weak, sick or tired. This auto-intoxification can also make us susceptible to disease. A low functioning bowel can also lead to constipation, backache, headaches and skin problems.
